Eligibility:
This is a juried art show, open to all artists. Artists must represent themselves throughout the show. Only artwork created by the applicant may be displayed. No manufactured items or imports will be accepted. At least 25% of the work
must be original, and no more than 75% reproductions. Work that has been produced with commercial kits, molds, patterns, prefabricated forms or other commercial methods is not permitted.

NOTES: several area high schools will be holding graduation ceremonies this same weekend as Art on the Lake. Please make your reservations early. Chanhassen is about 10 minutes south of Excelsior. Chaska and Eden Prairie are about 20 minutes further. EP is easily accessible from 494. Chaska is south of Chanhassen, accessible from 41 or 212. Plymouth and Wayzata are both north of Lake Minnetonka. Minnetonka is due east of Excelsior on Hwy. 7. Excelsior is located on the south shores of Lake Minnetonka.
Registration, Fees, Deadlines:
To apply for the 2008 Art on the Lake Show, entries must be received no later than Monday March 3, 2008.
Booth Sizes:
12' x 12" booth spaces. Includes two feet for storage space behind your both.
Set Up:
Set-up on Friday, with check-in from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. We cannot accommodate check-ins prior to 4 p.m. due to park availability. Site security will be provided both Friday and Saturday nights. We recommend that you do not leave your valuables unsecured.
The City of Excelsior does not permit camping or overnight parking either in the Commons or within city limits.
Jury Requirements:
3 color images of each medium to be represented. Please note: we are accepting images in digital format: JPG, PDF, TIF
Slides: only if you are not sending work electronically
3 slides of each medium to be represented.
In addition, we require a photo of your display booth.
Sending Art:
Digitally: art will not be returned.
By mail: slides returned only if you include a SASE with your applications.
We cannot absorb the cost of mailing your art so please make sure
the postage is accurate.

$20 per application. Non-refundable. Payable to South Lake-Excelsior Chamber by check or money order only. Jury fees payable with application.

$225 for one space.
$475 for two spaces…. based on availability.

Art on the Lake 2008 Cancellation Policy:
Artists who accept our invitation to participate in Art on the Lake 2008 are subject to the following cancellation policy: Artists who must cancel out between the time of acceptance and May 6, will be refunded booth space fee less $50 per booth.
Artists who cancel out less than 30 days prior to the show (May 7-June 7) will not receive refunds. Hardship cases will be reviewed on a case by case basis. |
